Walk to School Day Evaluation Report

Walk to School Day is one of the most visible successes of SRTS.  The Walk to School Day Evaluation Report details the evolution of the program model over the past 4 years. The report contains findings and recommendations to streamline event implementation, while cost-effectively scaling the program’s reach.

Since 2013, over 225 different schools and approximately 73,000 Los Angeles students have participated in Walk to School Day. These events help local schools galvanize support for future SRTS grassroots involvement that helps shape engineering, education and enforcement efforts.

The Walk to School Day website is a one-stop shop for resources and tools to organize events, register schools, and access planning and logistics support. The School Organizer and Agency Organizer Manuals are step-by-step guides to plan, recruit volunteers, promote and host events and include customizable materials.
